Product Description: Border Guide / Parallel Stitching Foot

Function: The border guide foot is primarily designed for sewing closely spaced rows of decorative stitches. The transparent plastic and red guide lines allow you to align patterns with ultimate precision.
Tip for wider spacing: When sewing parallel lines further apart (for example, quilting lining material with batting), use a curved quilting guide bar (inserted into the hole at the back of the snap-on ankle/holder). This guide bar is included in the standard accessories of many machines but can also be purchased separately.
Compatibility: Suitable for top-loading (horizontal bobbin system) Janome and Elna sewing machines with a 7mm stitch width. It can be attached to standard 5mm stitch width machines as well, though the centerline will sit slightly off-center from the needle position.

Not suitable for: Bernina, Husqvarna, and Singer: These brands feature proprietary snap-on systems. To use standard feet on these machines, you can purchase a standard low-shank snap-on ankle/holder. For Bernina machines, a dedicated Bernina adapter is available.
